Dr. Carl E. Cerniglia - Outstanding Alumnus for 2009

The Department of Microbiology is pleased to announce Dr. Carl E. Cerniglia as Outstanding Alumnus for 2009.  Dr. Cerniglia received his Ph.D. (1976) in Microbiology from North Carolina State University following dissertation work in the laboratory of Jerome Perry, Professor Emeritus.  A brief biosketch of Dr. Cerniglia can found at this link.  Congratulations Carl!

New Faculty in Microbiology

Dr. Paul Hamilton joined the Microbiology faculty in mid August as Assistant Professor and Director of the Master of Microbial Biotechnology (MMB) Program.  He comes to us from Affinergy, Inc. in Durham, NC. 

Dr. Jennifer Miller joined the Microbiology faculty September 1st as Assistant Professor.  She comes to us from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
